Richard Redmond

“Richard’s help in buying our first home was invaluable—and since then,
he has walked us through a couple of refis that have been of tremendous advantage.
I would recommend him to anyone, first-time homebuyers to experienced investors alike.
You always know Richard is on your side.”

Richard RedmondI enjoy developing relationships, sharing my knowledge and experience, and seeing my clients actively and effectively engaged in the mortgage process. My goal is to communicate knowledge and provide the tools needed to make the best mortgage financing decision. The loan preapproval and application process should be simple and clear, with no surprises.

I have helped my clients with over 2000 transactions, funding more than $950 million in mortgage loans during my twenty-plus years as a mortgage broker at All California Mortgage in Larkspur. In June of 2016 I transitioned into a management role at ACM Investor Services, Inc., a sister company of All California Mortgage which provides private money financing and trust deed investment opportunities. I am licensed as a broker by the California Bureau of Real Estate, and as a mortgage originator by the National Mortgage Licensing System.

I have worked extensively with clients in every area of mortgage finance: first-time home buyers of houses, condos and TICs; savvy real estate investors and developers; long-time homeowners refinancing, buying up, or buying down; and seniors and their families looking into reverse mortgages. I have also provided private money lending and bridge financing for residential and commercial properties, and provided investment opportunities for my clients in trust deeds, through ACM Investor Services during the time I worked at All California Mortgage. I am now a full-time broker associate with ACM.

In 1994 I wrote the first edition of Mortgages: The Insider’s Guide (originally called The Insider’s Guide to Mortgages) in order to give consumers the understanding necessary to participate actively and effectively in the process of mortgage finance while showing them how to effectively evaluate and compare different mortgage offers from different lenders. The current third edition has been expanded, and reflects the myriad changes that have transformed the mortgage world since the financial crisis. This website will be continuously updated to reflect the rapid and continuing changes that impact consumers in the mortgage market.
