In 1994 I wrote the first edition of Mortgages: The Insider’s Guide (originally called The Insider’s Guide to Mortgages) in order to give consumers the understanding necessary to participate actively and effectively in the process of mortgage finance while showing them how to effectively evaluate and compare different mortgage offers from different lenders. The current third edition has been expanded, and reflects the myriad changes that have transformed the mortgage world since the financial crisis.
